Mr & Mrs Mahi Box Office Collection Day 3: Janhvi Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao’s Film Reaches ₹ 16 Crore
New Delhi: Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s latest film, Mr & Mrs Mahi, has shown impressive box office performance, earning ₹ 5.50 crore on its third day, as reported by Sacnilk. This brings the total collection of the sports-drama to ₹ 16.85 crore. Directed by Sharan Sharma, the movie tells the story of Mahima, a doctor who marries Mahendra, a failed but talented cricketer. Over time, Mahendra discovers Mahima’s exceptional cricketing talent and decides to train her to become a professional. The film also stars Zarina Wahab, Rajesh Sharma, and Kumud Mishra in key roles. Mr & Mrs Mahi is jointly produced by Zee Studios and Dharma Productions.
Prior to the film’s release, Janhvi Kapoor shared a behind-the-scenes video from the set on Instagram. In the clip, she is seen in character, interacting playfully with the cameraman, asking him to stop filming, and sharing a few light-hearted moments. At one point, she asks if she can share a “secret,” before inquiring about the close-up shots being taken and mentioning a self-written poem she prefers not to be recorded.
In a review by NDTV, film critic Saibal Chatterjee gave Mr & Mrs Mahi 2 out of 5 stars. He noted that the lead actors, Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, manage to keep the audience engaged with their performances. Rajkummar Rao, in particular, effectively conveys Mahendra’s frustrations, whether directed at his father or his wife, even when the dialogue is filled with self-pity.
