Rajinikanth Receives Golden Visa from UAE’s Culture and Tourism Department: ‘I am Deeply Honoured’
Abu Dhabi, UAE — Legendary actor Rajinikanth has been honoured with a prestigious Golden Visa from the UAE’s Department of Culture and Tourism. During his recent visit to Abu Dhabi, the superstar expressed his gratitude for the recognition and thanked the government and MA Yusuff Ali, the chairman and managing director of Lulu Group, for their hospitality and support.

Trade analyst Ramesh Bala took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a picture of Rajinikanth receiving his visa, writing, “UAE Culture and Tourism Department grants #GoldenVisa to #Superstar.” In a heartfelt video message, Rajinikanth said, “I am deeply honoured to receive the prestigious UAE Golden Visa from Abu Dhabi Govt. My heartfelt thanks to the Abu Dhabi govt. and also to my good friend Mr Yusuff Ali, CMD of Lulu Group, for facilitating this visa and for all the support.”
The Golden Visa was handed over by Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Chairman of the Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT), in the presence of Yusuff Ali.

On Monday, Rajinikanth spent quality time with Yusuff and some top executives of the Lulu Group. During his stay in Abu Dhabi, he visited Yusuff’s residence and even took a ride in his Rolls Royce. A video shared by one of the company’s employees shows Rajinikanth enjoying the luxurious ride and engaging in a lively conversation with Yusuff. The visit sparked speculation about potential business discussions, but the announcement clarified that Yusuff had assisted Rajinikanth in obtaining the Golden Visa.

Rajinikanth has an exciting lineup of films set for release. Among them is Vettaiyan, scheduled for October, featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, and Rana Daggubati. Additionally, he will star in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie. The film’s announcement teaser received a positive response but encountered a hurdle when composer Ilaiyaraaja sent a legal notice to the producers for using one of his old songs without permission.
