3 Men Attempt to Enter Parliament Complex Using Fake IDs
New Delhi: Delhi Police have initiated an investigation after three men, all laborers, were apprehended for attempting to enter the highly secure Parliament complex using forged Aadhaar cards. The incident, which took place on June 4, involved Kasim, Monis, and Soyeb, who have since been identified and booked under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code.
The three men face charges under Sections 465 (forgery), 419 (cheating by personation), 120B (criminal conspiracy), 471 (using as genuine a forged document), and 468 (forgery for cheating). The case has been registered at the Parliament Street police station.
According to the FIR, a CISF official stationed at Iron Gate No. 03 of Parliament House detected the three workers attempting to gain entry using Casual entry passes. The incident occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m. on June 4.
“Monis and Kasim displayed the same Aadhaar card number with the individual’s photo. They made these forged documents under a conspiracy and used them as genuine, with Kasim also impersonating Monis,” the FIR states.
The investigation revealed that all three men are residents of Uttar Pradesh and were employed by contractor Sahnawaj Alam for construction work in the MP lounge. The FIR further suggests that one or both Aadhaar cards of Monis and Kasim were forged.
Authorities are now examining the extent of the forgery and the potential security breach, aiming to uncover how the fake IDs were created and used in an attempt to enter the Parliament complex.
