Sequel for Suriya-Jyothika’s 18-Year-Old Blockbuster? Kavin to Lead the Star Cast?
In 2006, Suriya and Jyothika won hearts with their performances in “Sillunu Oru Kaadhal,” a romantic drama that became a hallmark of Tamil cinema. Directed by first-time filmmaker Obeli N. Krishna, the movie also featured Bhumika, Shriya Sharma, Sukanya, Vadivelu, Santhanam, and others, with a memorable score by the legendary AR Rahman.
Recent reports indicate that a sequel to “Sillunu Oru Kaadhal” is in the works. Director Obeli N. Krishna is reportedly planning “Sillunu Oru Kaadhal 2” and has approached actor Kavin for the lead role. Notably, Obeli N. Krishna has recently signed a project with Prince Pictures, who are rumored to be producing this eagerly awaited sequel.
Kavin, whose recent film “Star” was a massive success, has an exciting slate of upcoming projects. These include “Kiss” directed by Sathish Krishnan, “Bloody Beggar” produced by Nelson, “Mask” produced by Vetrimaaran, and a film where he stars opposite Lady Superstar Nayanthara, directed by debutant Vishnu Edavan.
